Life at Aegis

(Ok, well this is a roleplay for anyone at Aegis Acadamy I made this one because I believe Táleny's arrival is a solo roleplay, and we need somewhere to roleplay together about Aegis!! )
Moreta stared at the sword in her hand, holding it with disgust. It was a rubbish example of a blade, if this thing could actually cut she would be amazed, but it was what she had been given to practice with, so she had no choice. She stood in the centre of the room, eyes closed, breathing calmly, pushing all thoughts from her mind before she began to practice. She slowly opened her eyes, smiling slightly, and then she began to move. She was one with the blade, feeling that slight resistance as it whistled through the air. She moved through the different forms without thinking, flowing smoothly from one to the other, a beautiful dance. The light reflecting off the sword added to the grace of her movements, glittering arcs moving about her.

(This is sort of going from my solo thread)
Táleny took a deep breath, and walked up the steps of the Academy. She walked through the doors - and was immediately pushed back out again by a crowd of students.
"Ach -!" she yelped, as she struggled to not fall down the stairs. Eventually, she managed to break through and get into the Entrance Hall. She gasped. Táleny had never seen so many people before (well, there weren't that many, but the island she lived on had a population of twenty-two). She walked through the hall and towards a corridor, looking around in awe. Anxiety and excitement bubbled up in her stomach, as she headed toward the Headmaster's office.

It was almost an hour later when Moreta finally finished training. She slid the sword home into its scabbard and then for the first time noticed the noise outside. Walking over to a window she peered out to see what exactly was going on. How could she have forgotten it was opening day?! Having been there now for six years today, she should be down there, helping out those that were new here, that couldnt find their way about. She swore under her breath, if her tutor heard about this she would be in serious trouble.

Táleny had been walking around for about half an hour now. Man, this academy was big. She reached back and pulled a school map from her backpack - something she'd been trying to avoid, as she didn't want to look so obviously new.
Aiden walked down the corridor, having just placed his bags in his dormitory. He was feeling pretty low about being back at school until he caught site of a girl studying a school map. Ah, perfect. A smile spread across his face. He ran a hand through his hair to ruffle it up, checked his reflection in the glass doors of a cabinet, and walked over to her, putting a gently concerned look on his face. Gotta love opening day...
"Hey," he said, as he got near her.
Táleny heard someone speaking. She turned around to see a boy who looked around her age.
"Oh, hi," she replied distractedly, then went back to her map.
"Are you lost?" he asked. "I warn you, those maps are pretty confusing."
"Yeah, I can see that," Táleny sighed. "And, actually, I am lost... It's, it's my first day..." She blushed slightly, almost positive that she sounded completely pathetic.
Aiden smiled. "Don't worry, I've been here since I was a kid, I can help you out."
"Oh, great," Táleny said, her relief pretty obvious. "I need to get to the Headmasters' office."
"No problem," he nodded, and started walking. "I'm Aiden, by the way."
"Táleny," she said with a small smile, quickly following him and feeling glad at the possiblilty that she was making a friend. "Um... Where're you from?"
Aiden grinned, almost wildly. He held out his hand and a ball of flames sprung to life in his palm. "Guess."
Táleny gasped and stepped back a little, then rolled her eyes at her own feebleness. "How long did it take you to learn to do that?"
"Well, longer than average," he said, laughing a little guiltily. "Oh, the office is just down the end of this corridor."
"Great," Táleny smiled, although she was feeling pretty nervous.
"So, Táleny..." Aiden gulped very quietly, and stopped walking. "Do you want to get together some time after classes?"
Táleny grinned. "Yeah, that would be great!"
"All right!" Aiden said, smiling. "There's this place down the street from the dock, apparently it's perfect for dates, we could -"
"Dates?" Táleny interrupted. Her mouth dropped open as she suddenly realised what was going on - she was being hit on!! This was something she had little to no experience with, and had no idea how to deal with it. "I - have to - !" And then she took off down the corridor.
Aiden gaped after her.
"Well," he said to himself. "I don't think that was the desired outcome."

Moreta sprinted down the stairs, having already thrown the sword into the storeroom, something she never did, she always put them away nice and neatly, or handed them to the stores manager if he was about, but today she had just thrown it in the general direction as she ran past. She had heard a voice shouting but ignored it as she sprinted down through the corridors and hallways, knocking several people over in her hurry. She yelled a quick apology over her shoulder hoping they were people that didnt know her Sprinting out into the daylight Moreta squinted, holding a hand above her eyes and looking out at the docks. There were no boats there...all the new arrivals had already got here and disappeared into the crowd. She was going to be in a lot of trouble.

Isodia walked across the Entrance Hall, her mouth open slightly as she looked around the Academy in awe. She then shook her head, reminding herself that she needed to make her way to the Headmaster's Office. She had needed to sit outside for a while, getting some fresh air, as she had never travelled across sea before and had been feeling rather ill. Looking around a nervous look fell across her face, how on earth was she going to find her way around? She was already late as it was! As she scanned the room frantically, she noticed someone who was just about to exit through one of the many doors that probably led into one of the hundreds of corridors in the Academy. She wouldn't normally approach someone she didn't know, but she would have to eventually, as she didn't know anyone here.
"E-excuse me?" she called out nervously. They continued to open the door, perhaps they hadn't heard her... "excuse me!" she repeated, this time walking quickly towards them.
Levi heaved a sigh as he heard footsteps approaching him. He had heard her the first time, but he didn't want to know. No doubt it was a new arrival, and this was one of the worst days of the year for him. More people meant the more hassle he was going to get. He was well known for being the lone-wolf around the Academy, or as the other students would put it, "the freak", "the loser" and anything else they could think of that seemed appropriate. Reluctantly, he turned around, still holding the door open, hoping to escape as soon as possible. He watched as an attractive young lady walked towards him, but he failed to take this in...
"What?" he snapped.
"O-oh," Isodia stammered slightly, feeling herself slide back into her usual shy self. "Um, I was just hoping that you could give me directions to the Headmaster's Office," she said quietly.
"No," came the reply. And with that, Levi turned to leave. Continuing to make his way to his dormitory, he left the room, leaving the girl standing on her own.
Isodia stood aghast, she had never met someone so rude. She hoped that not everyone here was going to be like him. Turning around, she began to panic slightly. Things were already going down hill, and she hadn't even been at the Academy for more than a couple of hours.

Moreta finally accepted that she had missed all the boats and turned to go back inside. She walkedup the steps slowly, smiling as she always did when she looked up at the main entrance to the Academy. She looked down and spotted a young girl looking rather lost and worried, probably a newcomer. Moreta hurried over, perhaps she would be able to keep out of trouble after all. "Can I help you at all?"

Isodia had turned around to see who was approaching when she had heard foorsteps hurrying towards her, and was glad to see a friendly face. When she was asked if she needed any help, a relieved smile spread across her face.
"Um, yes please," she replied gratefully, "that's if you don't mind," she added quickly. "I'm new here, and I'm supposed to be at the Headmaster's Office, but this place is so huge... I'm already late as it is. You couldn't give me directions to get there, could you?" she pleaded.

Moreta's smile widened. Thank goodness, now her tutor couldn't claim that she hadnt done her duty and aided the newcomers. "I can do better than just give you directions, Ill show you." With a quick grin Moreta started walking down the corridor. "So where are you from then?"

"I'm from Mystral," Isodia replied, as she followed the lead. After having met the young man earlier, she had found herself wishing that she had never agreed with her parents to come here, but now, these thoughts had been pushed aside as she realised not all people here were going to be like him. "Oh, by the way, I'm Isodia," she smiled.

She stopped outside a large door, opening and leading the way into a large ornate waiting room. There were several other newcomers there and Moreta smiled at them all. "This is the waiting room by the headmaster's office, his secretary is over here, Ill just introduce you, and then she will call you up when the headmaster is ready for you."

Táleny came out of the Headmaster's office, and bumped right into two other girls, one very pretty and who looked about her age, the other seemingly a few years older. She mumbled her apologies, and walked past them, in the direction of her dormitory, once again clutching her map. Luckily, she managed to find it with a rather less trouble than she had with the Headmaster's office. Having walked up a flight of stairs and along several corridors, she managed to reach the dorm, and pushed the door open. It was empty. There were four beds in there, two of which had bags on them. Táleny saw the two spare beds had little lables attached to the posts, the one nearest the wall with her name on it. Táleny put down her rucksack, vaguely noticing that the other label had Isodia written on it. She supposed this girl must be new too.
((Hope you don't mind, Iso If you do, I'll change it, no worries Also, if you two want, you can take your trip into the Headmeaster's office to the thread on this board.))

(Yeah, that's perfectly fine, hun. And I'm sorry, I haven't posted here in ages, I really should keep up to date with everything. Oh yeah, Moreta has been away, so that's why she hasn't posted much. I think she arrived back around this date, today, so she should be here soon. Just thought I should let you know.)
Isodia turned to reply to the girl that had just exited the Headmaster's office, but she was hastily walking away. "I hope she's alright," she said to out-loud to herself, a slight look of concern on her face. She then followed as Moreta led her towards the secretary's desk where she needed to register.
After having left the Entrance Hall, Levi had begun to make his way to his dormitory. As it was the opening day for all the newcomer's, the rest of the students were supposed to be helping out. However, he wasn't going to waste his time with that. After a while, he came to the staricase that led to the boy's dormitory's. Beginning to climb them, he hoped that the room was going to be empty, he just wanted a place where he could be on his own, away from the crowds.
Upon arriving there, he was relieved to find that the other three he shared the room with weren't there. He walked towards his bed which was at the far side of the room, beside the window. As he walked past Aiden's bed, he gave a chuckle and rolled his eyes. He was probably in the hall, 'checking out' the newcomers. Not that he minded, he could do without Aiden winding him up right now. With a deep sigh, Levi threw himself down on to his bed in hope that he might be able to get some sleep.

(Indeed I have been away, but Im back now. Seems I didnt miss too much though, tis ever so quiet here... )
Moreta smiled at the secretary, "Good morning Ma'am, this is Isodia, she's jsut arrived, here to see the headmaster." The secretary smiled at Moreta and then at Isodia. "Alright thank you Moreta, you can be off now, and Isodia, if youd like to take a seat with the others Ill give you a call when the headmaster is ready to see you." Moreta smiled briefly at Isodia "Dont worry his bark is worse than his bite, hes a lovely old guy really." She turned and made her way back out into the main part of the school, wandering the corridors aimlessly. Lessons were always cancelled for the day and she had no idea where her friends were so she couldnt even go and chat with them.
